Holy Breast Milk

Just a quick note about this funny comment from my friend Jeannette. She was over setting up for my close friends shower and she went to put a bag of ice in our deep freeze. Thats when I heard it, "Holy breast milk". She found my stash. I had been pumping since after Emolyn was born and because she didn't eat for 10 days it sort of piled up. It stays good for 6 months in the deep freeze so all the bottles are dated. Well they were sort of taking over the deep freeze and I had no room for my schwans, and it was unorganized, you know how I hate that. So before Emolyn came home I bought some storage containers and organized it all according to date. Well since she doesn't eat much and still drinks form a bottle I am making more than she eats so alas, my collection grows. Here is a pre-organization photo. Sorry if this grosses anyone out but I think its funny.

I love this post! This just shows you are a dedicated mommy to your little one because pumping takes major dedication. I only pumped for a few weeks and man I was ready to be done. It felt like all I did was pump and feed, pump and feed all day! You are doing a great job! I nursed so I love when other mommies do too!

Nicole, let me introduce myself. I'm Kerri B., aka Skerrib in the bloggy world. I know the Thompsons from ODF, but now my hubby's in the AF so we live here & there, but not PHX. So I'm not a stalker, and your baby's a sweet little smooshy-smoosh.

Good, now that that's out of the way...

Holy breastmilk Batman--good for you!!! You could make a ton on the black market for that milk. Oh, wait. Did I just say that? I would never condone such a thing! (but I'm told it brings a pretty price)

That is hilarious!! Can I buy some? He He He. I nursed Parker until he was 13 months and Zac is now 9 months. Pumping is so much more work than just nursing. Great job!!! I don't know if I could do it.
You can donate breastmilk to a milk bank for premie's. It is $3.00 an ounce. I have always admired women who can pump. I was never very good at and was very impatient.
